Liquid wallpaper

Liquid wallpaper is a modern and, without exaggeration, unique finishing material. According to the application method, it is decorative plaster, but not simple, but silk. How does this decorative plaster differ from other interior plasters? Liquid wallpaper is a fairly elastic material and will not crack when a new house shrinks, as is often the case with expensive Venetian finishes, etc.

Material history

To date, liquid wallpaper has received recognition not only in Russia, but also in the world market. Decorative plaster  has rightfully occupied its niche among finishing materials and is represented in many Russian regions, CIS countries - Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, as well as in such EU countries as Germany, Lithuania, Latvia , UK, France, Poland and Estonia. In addition, the brand has taken its positions in the countries of the East - the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and India. Despite long distances, silk plaster is also supplied to Brazil, USA, Canada, Australia and even African countries such as Nigeria, Kenya and Uganda.

Material Description

Liquid wallpaper is supplied dry in bags. Before use, the material is diluted with water - this is the reason for its name - "liquid" wallpaper. This finishing material is applied to the walls in the same way as decorative plaster, so the finishing material in question can be recognized as a type of such plaster. The result of applying liquid wallpaper is a solid surface without joints and seams, characterized by wear resistance, hiding power and many other advantages, which will be discussed later.

Silk decorative plaster is also called "material without an expiration date." Now more and more unscrupulous manufacturers are creating products that “age out” quickly, which leads to overconsumption, high company profits, high consumer spending, and the depletion of natural resources. Unlike such products, liquid wallpaper will last a really long time.

It is liquid wallpaper that allows not only to create an aesthetic interior, but also to really save on finishing, since this material of long-term use - almost never gets bored! Decorative silk plaster is easily repaired, the seamless surface will not peel off at the joints (there simply aren’t any!), and in places of increased pollution, for example, an apron in the kitchen, it can be covered with colorless scuba.

Practical and aesthetic benefits

The growing popularity of liquid wallpaper is quite understandable: the list of their practical and decorative advantages is extremely extensive. Each of them deserves detailed consideration.

The first practical advantage of this decorative plaster, which I would like to draw the attention of readers, is its environmental friendliness. The material in question, neither during application nor during subsequent operation, does not emit into the surrounding air substances harmful to human health and the environment. When working with liquid wallpaper, neither dust nor dirt is formed - which means that you will not have to take out the household to the dacha or stop the office for the duration of the repair. We also note such a quality of the described wallpaper as their ability to “breathe”.

The next important advantage of the finishing material, which this review is devoted to, is its ability to significantly increase the level of sound and heat insulation of the room. This quality of liquid wallpaper of the Russian brand makes them especially relevant for use at home (however, office employees and visitors to administrative and public buildings will also appreciate these advantages).

The modern finishing material in question can be applied to almost any (including embossed) surfaces. Using liquid wallpaper, you can achieve a stunning appearance of arches, columns, and other complex interior elements, easily perform a fragmentary repair of the room. In this case, minor surface defects will be masked, and the probability of peeling of decorative plaster is practically reduced to zero.

Silk liquid wallpaper is optimal for use in new buildings. Due to such quality as elasticity, they will never crack when the walls of the house shrink, which cannot be said about many other types of finishing materials.

It is impossible not to note such advantages of silk decorative plaster as: - its highest quality, resistance of liquid wallpaper to various types of adverse external influences and, as a result, their durability; - finally, prices for Russian-made decorative plasters: they are very attractive, thanks to which the liquid wallpaper in question is available even to buyers with low incomes.

The practical advantages of the described finishing material are successfully complemented by its worthy aesthetic qualities. When using liquid wallpaper, you can get a solid surface on which there will be no seams and joints. These wallpapers are perfectly combined with other finishing materials, giving designers the widest scope for creativity. An important role in this is played by a diverse range of decorative silk plasters offered by the manufacturing company.
